An elegant design with a certain grandness from a past era, this B&B on the Metung Road at Swan Reach overlooks the Tambo River which flows to the Gippsland Lakes. This area of East Gippsland is well known to boating and fishermen for its variety of waterways - lakes, rivers, and ocean access at Lakes Entrance.

Pearl and Malcolm have constructed a new luxury four and a half star Bed & Breakfast that will entrance you with its angled walls and sweeping views of the river from each room.

The hexagonal breakfast room is simply huge, with redwood lined ceiling and windows so big that you will think you are sitting outside.

Guests are provided with free Internet access in this room, where they can browse the Net or send e-mail.

There are three guest rooms, each with a different theme. The rooms have been designed for the comfort of couples only, so you will not be disturbed by children.

Two rooms have their own balconies where you can relax outside and take in the tranquil stillness of the river and surrounding farmland.

For those who choose more privacy, the new Chester's Studio offers a more contemporary place to relax, escape and recharge your life.

Breakfast is a special time at Chestnut Hill, as it allows Pearl to utilise her culinary skills and provide you with a choice of cooked breakfasts. All produce is fresh and comes primarily from the surrounding districts.

If you were fortunate enough to see into the kitchen you would understand why Pearl's breakfasts are such a joy to prepare.

On Friday and Saturday nights, A' La Carte dining is available (prior arrangement required).

For those who choose to bring their family pet on holiday, we have the facilities and space (5 acres) to accommodate your companion.
